Arseniy Yatseniuk, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, held Conciliative Council with the leaders of Deputy Factions on Monday, 28 January.

Since at present the Parliament members are working in the Committees, the attendees of the meeting discussed a number of issues concerning activity of the Parliament, including ways to unblock the activity of the single legislative body, procedure of closing of the First Session of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the sixth Convocation, and agenda of the Second Session of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the sixth Convocation. 

The leaders of the Factions reached preliminary agreement as regards closing of the First Session on first Tuesday of current year, consideration of personnel issues, and, pursuant to the Constitution of Ukraine, opening of the Second Session on that day. Work of the Second Session of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the sixth Convocation will start with listening to the Address of Viktor Yushchenko, the President of Ukraine.

The resolution concerning holding further consultations on the said issues was adopted due to the results of the Conciliative Council.
